The Board of Directors of the British North America Philatelic Society (BNAPS) has authorized a survey of members. We want to know how you evaluate the programs and services we provide and whether you have ideas for new ones. In this way we can better plan the organization's future. The information you provide will be confidential, for use only by BNAPS officials. The survey will only take a few minutes of your time, but it is important to us that we know your interests. It is requested that you complete the survey no later than December 15, 2013.

Just a note to ask if anyone is interested in having a meeting at Chicagopex this year. A meeting is tentatively scheduled for Sunday morning at 10:00 am on November 24th. Saturday is quite full, but they could let us have a room at 9:00 am on that day. If you are planning to go and would like to meet, could you let me know of your preferred day so that I can get a formal letter out by snail mail to all 26 members to tell them about the meeting.

BNAPS has been busy the last few months working to bring our website to more modern standards. While our efforts are not fully ready to replace our current website, you can get the look and feel of the new website if you visit our BNAPS new-look website.

Please note that this is a work in progress and some items may not work correctly at this time. A presentation of the new design will be given at BNAPEX in Charlottetown by Robin Harris of Adminware Corporation who is working on the redesign. The member database is running, so if you choose to try the members area, use the Get Password link to set yourself up. You will need to provide your BNAPS membership number and email address to get your temporary password.

Comments can be forwarded to the webmaster email link on the website. As this is a preview and all the web team will be at BNAPEX, there will be no changes done in this test until after the convention.

Bob Dyer has found a cover on eBay with a logo celebrating our first convention - BNAPEX 1949. It was sent by Harry Lussey (President from 1953-1954) in July 1949 to T.B. Higginson (another BNAPS member) in Finch, Ontario. Interestingly it has a Newfoundland 2-cent postage due stamp on it!

With the passing of Jack Gordon OTB, the Squared Circle Study Group will be led in the interim by Joe Smith. Please attend BNAPEX in Charlottetown to help renew the study Group. A newsletter editor for the study group is being sought. Any member who would like to help should contact Joe Smith, the Study Group chairman.

A Memorial for Jack Gordon will be published shortly.
