Hotel information and reservations

The hotel is located in downtown Dartmouth next to the McDonald Bridge. By car, it is:

  • About 25 minutes from Halifax Stanfield International Airport
  • About 10 minutes from the VIA Rail Canada Station on Hollis St., Halifax

It is a 10 minute walk to the heart of downtown Dartmouth for coffee shops, spas, pubs, restaurants, Alderney Landing and the ferry to downtown Halifax (Historic Properties). The Halifax Transit (bus) Dartmouth Terminal is located across the street from the hotel.

The largest shopping district is Dartmouth Crossing, a 10 minute drive from the hotel. A car is recommended for this shopping experience.

By car

The best route west to east is the Trans-Canada Highway.

This is Route 2 in New Brunswick and Highway 104 in Nova Scotia. Take Exit 15 near Truro to Highway 102, follow Highway 118 to Dartmouth. At the end of the road, turn left on Victoria Rd., right on Thistle St. and right on Wyse Rd. The hotel is on the left just before the bridge tolls.

  • From the Nova Scotia/New Brunswick border: 2 hours
  • From Fredericton: 4.5 hours
  • From Montreal: 12 hours (the route through Maine in the U.S. takes the same amount of time)
  • From Ottawa: 14 hours
  • From Toronto: 17 hours (19 hours through the U.S.)

By air

Air Canada (including Jazz and Rouge), WestJet, Porter Airlines, United Airlines and several discount airlines have flights to and from Halifax Stanfield International Airport.

It is about 30-40 minutes between the airport and the hotel by car. Taxi costs approximately $50-65 depending on the type of car service.

Airport Express offers a shuttle service between the airport and downtown Dartmouth and Halifax. The one-way fare is $22. Reservations are required.

There is excellent service between Montreal / Quebec City and Halifax along “The Maritime Way” on the VIA Ocean through Riviere-du-loop - Mont-Joli - Campbellton - Bathurst – Moncton - Halifax.
