The Judging Committee Chairman is responsible for:

• Appointing a Chief Judge to judge competitive exhibits at BNAPS conventions
• Ensuring that two other judges and an apprentice judge are selected
• Maintaining a list of qualified judges

The appointment of judges was at one time the responsibility of the Awards Committee. In 1993, the position of Judging Coordinator was created. In 2000, a Judging Committee was created, and the Judging Coordinator became the Chair of the Judging Committee.
